GREECE: Winter Storm Sophia Disrupts Flights at Athens and Thessaloniki Airports

Aviation authorities indicated that dozens of flights were delayed at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH/LGAV) and Thessaloniki Makedonia (SKG/LGTS) airports due to Winter Storm Sophia, which is expected to bring heavy snowfall, low visibility conditions, strong winds and record low temperatures to northern and central regions through 5 January.

ADVICE: Track local weather forecasts; anticipate possible disruptions to travel/services in affected areas in the near-term. Drive in deference to road conditions.
