AUSTRALIA: Airport Workers Hold Protests at Multiple Airports

According to media, hundreds of airport workers led by the Transport Workers’ Union, including baggage handlers, cabin crew and security staff, were staging demonstrations at Perth (PER/YPPH), Sydney (SYD/YSSY), Melbourne (MEL/YMML), Adelaide (ADL/YPAD) and Brisbane (BNE/YBBN) airports since morning hours local time, to protest against low wages and safety issues faced by workers.

ADVICE: Anticipate possible delays to check-in and security services at the affected airports over the next several hours. Allow for additional travel time.
